Gestational Diabetes

Gestational diabetes is one of the most common health problems of pregnancy. It is a type of diabetes affecting between 2 and 7 percent of expectant mothers.

In many forms of diabetes, the pancreas does not produce enough insulin.  However, in gestational diabetes, glucose stays in our blood instead of moving into our cells and getting converted to energy.


Calcium for Women

The human bone needs ample supply of calcium daily in order to maintain continuous growth and prevent bone related diseases such as osteoporosis. The amount of calcium the body needs depend on which age group a person belongs to. For growth purposes, children and relatively young people would need more calcium than those in their middle age. But for proper health maintenance, older people needs more amount of calcium than middle aged people.
